Yali Bio is actively searching for a meticulous and highly motivated lab assistant to join our analytical chemistry team in South San Francisco, CA. As an analytical chemistry lab assistant, you will play a vital role in performing a diverse range of lab activities including lab maintenance, lipid sample preparation, and lipid testing and analysis. This opportunity is perfect for someone eager to contribute to projects that have the potential to revolutionize our food system.RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct lipid testing experiments with precision and accuracy.- Prepare samples meticulously for lipid analysis.- Analyze GC-FID datasets with attention to detail.- Fulfill additional project-related responsibilities, including supporting activities beyond analytical chemistry when required.QUALIFICATIONS- Associate degree or equivalent, with a preference for 2 years or more of experience in analytical chemistry OR a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, and data analytics.- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.- Exceptional organizational skills, efficiency, and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.REQUIRED SKILLS- Proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques, particularly in working with lipids, including GC analysis.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing biochemical assays.- Relevant technical skills in data analysis, electronic lab notebook documentation, and presenting results.- Passion and aptitude for learning new concepts and skills, and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.Sound exciting?
